Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution #_! 5 ] to ESTABLISH the classification of Deputy Director, Department of Conservation and Development-Exempt, ALLOCATE to the salary schedule, B85 2215 ($9,389 - $11,413), ADD one FTE Deputy Director, Department of Conservation and Development-Exempt; RECLASSIFY Director of Redevelopment-Exempt (5AB1) position #473 and incumbent to Deputy Director, Conservation and Development Agency-Exempt. FINANCIAL, IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of $10,500, which will be funded by land developer fees. There is no net county cost. BACKGROUND: This action would create executive management positions for a new Conservation and Development Department. This new Department represents a consolidation of the Community Development and Building Inspection Departments. This action is being proposed to promote a more streamlined and concentrated organizational focus on issues of land development, neighborhood rehabilitation, conservation, code enforcement, and environmental protection. Also, areas of any duplication can be addressed, which will lead to greater efficiency and potential budgetary savings.
