Accounting p BY DEPUTY G: \BoardOrders\BOARD.RDA.3.11.Ofi-Klute Demolition.PW BACKGROUND AND REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS: On December 18, 2007, the board approved the original contract with.Klute Demolition in the amount of$94,250 for demolition and abatement services on 223 Parker Avenue, Rodeo (the former Pacific.Foods site). The contractor has identified additional concrete removal work that will cost $18,000 to remove a well closure, the amendment increases the total contract payment limit by $21,000 for a new payment limit of$115,250. This amendment covers unforeseen demolition and concrete removal work and capping of aquifer well which requires additional action by the contractor in order to keep the project on track and to ensure public safety.' CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION:' The demolition would not be completed in a timely manner: Inability to complete the additional work could impair developer negotiations and would leave an attractive nuisance in place.
