BACKGROUND: This amendment covers the additional costs of providing case management and supportive services to 20 out-of-school foster youth enrolled in the Career Pathways/Bridges program at Los Medanos Community College. The intensive 14 week program is designed to take youth with a reading level 8th grade or below and bring them to a 10th grade or above level by the end of the 14 weeks. There is also a job training component to the program. (18-113-2)
