These outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood education, nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra Costa County. BACKGROUND: On January 23, 2007, the Board of Supervisors approved agreement 07B-5406 with the California Department of Community Services and Development to accept funds for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and Weatherization Program (WEX). Since the agreement was executed, the State experienced a reduction in funds for the Weatherization program. This board order approves and accepts the agreement amendment.
