SUBJECT: Position Adjustment Resolution # 20290 C�
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution #20290 adding two (2)
Employment & Human Services Division Manager positions (XADD, Unrepresented).
FISCAL IMPACT: It is estimated that the net cost this fiscal year for this action is $66,062.
This is due to cost savings resulting from the elimination of Community Services Director
position #1026. Since these positions are all 100% state and federally funded, there are no
net County general fund costs associated with these actions.
BACKGROUND: The Community Services Department, as a result of several organizational
and leadership changes, has discovered a greater need for additional management
positions. Staff has studied the duties to be performed and determined that Employment&
Human Services is the appropriate classification.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action isnot approved, the Community
Services Bureau of EHSD will not have sufficient staff to manage their increased workload.

vacancies.
