CCRMC responded to the findings by submitting a plan of corrections to CMS which includes the creation of a Quality Management Division within the Hospital. This action is necessary to staff the Division so that CCRMC is in compliance with quality assurance and performance improvement requirements set forth by CMS. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this request is not approved, Contra Costa Regional Medical Center will not be able to staff the Quality Management Division,which would result in noncompliance with the criteria set forth by the CMS(Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) audit.
