RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution Number 20109 and Resolution 2007/ REALLOCATING the salary of Emergency
Services Manager(9GGA)from Salary Level B85 2865($5,831.78-$7,088.57)to Salary Level B851823($6,244.13-$7,589.78)and
add two(2) 5%outstanding performance steps [Unrepresented]
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval of this action,the cost for FY 2006/07 is$1,747 and an annualized cost of$10,485.
BACKGROUND:
The Sheriffs Office has requested a review of the salary range for the Emergency Services Manager position due to recruiting and
retention issues. HR Staff conducted a salary survey and found that the salary of the Emergency Services Manager is 7% below the
market. Due to the fact that this position is paid below market, HR Staff is recommending a salary reallocation of 7% to bring the salary
up to market and the addition of two 5%outstanding performance pay steps to address the retention issues.
