BACKGROUND: The Sheriffs Office has requested a review of the salary range for the Emergency Services Manager position due to recruiting and retention issues. HR Staff conducted a salary survey and found that the salary of the Emergency Services Manager is 7% below the market. Due to the fact that this position is paid below market, HR Staff is recommending a salary reallocation of 7% to bring the salary up to market and the addition of two 5%outstanding performance pay steps to address the retention issues.
