(No County Match) (All Distdcts) FISCAL IMPACT: The cost of this contract is funded by the department's Head Start and Early Head Start grants as well as the department's Child Development funds. The cost of this contract is included in the Employment & Human Services Department's FY 2007-08 budget. There is no net County cost to this contract. These outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood education, nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra Costa County. BACKGROUND: The proposed contract with Betty Rappaport in the amount of$29,130 is to provide training and technical assistance at the classroom level. The site-based training, which includes teacher training workshops and mentoring of the department's early care and education teachers will provide critical support in classroom and behavior management. Approval of this contract will allow the Department to continue to meet quality standards in early care and education.
