Works' Youth Achievement and Possibilities (YAP/gap) program continued)
BACKGROUND:
Bay Point Works'Youth Achievement and Possibilities/gap (YAP/gap) Project targets the children of low-income,
working parents who live in the unincorporated community of Bay Point in East Contra Costa County. YAP/gap
assists families by offering a structured program of age-appropriate.educational and enrichment activities to young
children during the"gap" in the school calendar between the end of summer school and the beginning of the new
school year. The Program provides safe activities for children during the four major school vacations. The program
continues to refine, improve, and expand the innovative services for low income, working Bay Point families.
