SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution Number 20338, increasing the hours of Registered Nurse Experienced
Level (VWXD) position #9490 from part-time (24/40) to part-time (32/40) and position #9865 from part-time
(36/40) to permanent full-time (40/40). [Represented]
FISCAL IMPACT:
Enterprise one funding offset by the elimination of straight time over time pay already incurred by the incumbents.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department has requested this increase in accordance with Memorandum of Understanding between
Contra Costa County and the California Nurses Association. Per side letter agreement attachment B "Permanent-
intermittent and permanent part-time employees of the Hospital and Clinics Division who wish to have the hours of their
positions increased up to a maximum of full-time must so request in writing during a thirty(30) day period."
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this request is not approved,the County will be violating the terms of the adopted MOU with the California Nurses Association.
