On page 13 of the Boating Safety and Enforcement Financial Aid Program Manual, it states that"written justification and prior Department approval are necessary". The justification for the vehicle is based on the simple fact that my positon is a totally new position therfore requiring the need for an additional vehicle. This vehicle will be used soley for Marine Patrol purposes and include the necessary equipment such as a tow package and the like in order to furhter benefit the needs of this unit. My question to you is how do I obtain "prior Department approval"?Can this be done by you simply giving me the approval through this e-mail or do I need to fill out a form or do it under some other format?
