RICHARD GRIFFIN ON THE OCCASION OF
HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE
RICHMOND CITY COUNCIL _
WHEREAS, Richard L. Griffin has-served on the Richmond City Council for 24 years, from 1981 to
1983 and from 1985 to 2006; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Griffin made priorities of public safety and neighborhood improvement as a council
member, working to ensure. a--robusts,an&�� di— te. Richmond Police Force, supporting
community policing and mstigatmg;policies;acid programs-to encourage homeowners to repair
and renovate then deteriorating buildings, and•� +
