SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND'JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with California Department of Aging, to pay County an amount not to exceed $3,582,221 to continue Title III and Title VII Programs of the Older Americans Act for the period July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008. FISCAL IMPACT: Per California Department of Aging Agreement (AP-0708-07) County to receive funding in the amount up to $3,582,221. The minimum required County match is $510,000 (Administrative match of$150,000 + Title IIIB C, and D match of$240,000 + Title III E match of$120,000 = $510,000). 100% County BACKGROUND: The Employment and Human Services Department, Aging and Adult Services Bureau, Area Agency on Aging (AAA) provides services to low income, older residents of Contra Costa County as defined in Title III B, IIIC, III D, IIIE and VII of the Older Americans Act.
