FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, there will be an annual cost of$394,344 for the Enterprise I Fund. The cost will be partially offset by the elimination of
straight time overtime. As a result,the General Fund net county cost is$55,603 and is within the Department's budget.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department has requested the increase in hours for these positions as agreed upon during recent contract
negotiations with Public Employees Union, Local#1. The incumbents,of these positions have consistently worked over their assigned
hours and it has been determined by the Department that the increase in hours will continue.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this request is not approved, the incumbents in the above mentioned positions will not receive the appropriate benefits reflective of
their actual hours worked.
