HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04032007 - C.95 TO: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS , A n/ `F "` Contra FROM: William Walker,M.D., Health Services Director Costa By: Jacqueline Pigg, Contracts Administrator x _ DATE: March 20, 2007 County �ou� SUBJECT: Approval of Contract#23-400 with Contra Costa Regional Health Foundation SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #23-400 with Contra Costa Regional Health Foundation, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $45,000, to provide professional consultation services to the Health Services Director with regard to the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from April 1, 2007 through September 30, 2007. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is included in the Health Services Department Enterprise I Budget. BACKGROUND/REASON(S)FOR RECOMMENDATION(S): Contra Costa Regional Health Foundation was developed to support services and increase awareness of the work that is done at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers for the Contra Costa County community. The Contra Costa Regional Foundation is also the major fundraising vehicle to support the long-range needs of County's Hospital and Health Centers. Under Contract #23-400, the Contractor will provide professional consultation services to the Health Services Director with regard to the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers including, but not limited to, increasing community awareness of services provided, developing fundraising goals, policies and procedures, and By-Laws and working closely with the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Center's administrative and medical staff, to develop "Application Guidelines" for requesting funding, through September 30, 2007.
