SUBJECT: Contract amendment with Psychotherapy Institute of Individual, Family,
and Community Development.
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to
execute a contract amendment with the Psychotherapy Institute of Individual, Family, and
Community Development, a Non-Profit Corporation, effective April 3, 2007, to increase the
payment limit by$36,000 to a new payment limit not to exceed $60,000 with no change in the
term of March 1, 2006 through February 29, 2008 to provide additional mental health services
for non Medi-Cal eligible clients. (All Districts)
FISCAL IMPACT:
$60,000 Budgeted, 100% County Funds.

SUBJECT: CONTRACT AMENDMENT WITH PSYCHOTHERAPY INSTITUTE OF
INDIVIDUAL, FAMILY, AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
This contract supports all five of the community outcomes established in the Children's Report
Card: 1) "Children Ready for and Succeeding in School"; 2) "Children and Youth Healthy and
Preparing for Productive Adulthood"; 3) "Families that are Economically Self Sufficient"; 4)
"Families that are Safe, Stable and Nurturing"; and 5) "Communities that are Safe and Provide a
High Quality of Life for Children and Families." This is accomplished through maintaining family
stability and fostering child well being.
BACKGROUND:
Mental health services to non Medi-Cal eligible clients referred by CFS as well as authorized
services for Medi-Cal eligible clients that are not covered by Medi-Cal. This amendment is for an
increase in money to serve additional clients.
