County DATE: April 3, 2007 ' jD SUBJECT: Contract with the Contra Costa Community College District (CCCCD) for reimbursement to County of off-campus childcare for CaIWORKS participants enrolled as students at Contra Costa College SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with the Contra Costa Community College District (CCCCD) to pay County an amount not to exceed $111,374 of the CCCCD's CalWORKs off-campus childcare funds allocation for off-campus childcare provided to CaIWORKs participants enrolled as students at Contra Costa College for the period of July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007. (#29-074) FISCAL IMPACT: Up to $111,374 may be claimed by the County for off-campus childcare. Reimbursement to County with State CaIWORKs funds allocated to the Contra Costa Community College District. BACKGROUND: The Contra Costa Community College District (CCCCD) receives a State allocation of CalWORKs funding for services to CaIWORKs participants enrolled as students at CCCCD campuses.
