Lori Gentles, Assistant County Administrator Director of Human Resources ;; COSTA := DATE: April 17, 2007 " �°°"�' COUNTY SUBJECT: Position Adjustment Resolution # 20295 SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: ' ADD four (4) Account Clerk-Advanced Level (JDTD) positions (represented): CANCEL four (4) Clerk-Senior Level (JWXC) positions #'s 11761. 6550, 11315, 10584 (represented). FISCAL IMPACT: The total annual cost associated with this action is approximately$6,816 and 100% funded by General Fund monies but are offset by the cancellation of the designated positions. BACKGROUND: The recent reorganization of the Sheriffs Personnel and Finance Division resulted in the need for additional Account Clerk Advanced Level positions. The requested positions will increase the department's flexibility to distribute workload and address cross-training and succession needs. The Finance Division is responsible for a variety of functions to include accounts payables/receivables, billing reimbursements, appropriations, payroll, FLSA calculations, purchasing and numerous other fiscal tasks. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Failure to approve this action will result in insufficient clerical accounting support staff to the Office of the Sheriffs Personnel and Finance Division.
