Guardian Security services contract April 10, 2007
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Community Services Bureau of the Employment & Human Services Department's Head
Start program supports two of Contra Costa County's community outcomes: "Children Ready for
and Succeeding in School" and "Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing." These
outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early
childhood education, nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra
Costa County.
BACKGROUND:
The General Services Department has had a purchase order for this company to
provide security guard services since January 2004. This board order will authorize
the General Services Department to issue a new purchase order for the period of
January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007. Approval of this order will allow the
continued provision of security at the Community Services Bureau's childcare
centers.
