SUBJECT: Amend Contract with YWCA of Contra Costa County
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to
execute a contract amendment with YWCA of Contra Costa County, a Non-Profit Corporation,
effective March 1, 2006, to increase the payment limit by$36,000 to a new payment limit of
$60,000 with no change in the term of March 1, 2006 through February 29, 2008.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$60,000: 100% County Funds

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
This contract supports three of the community outcomes established in the Children's
Report Card: 1) "Children Ready for and Succeeding in School"; 2) "Children and
Youth Healthy and Preparing for Productive Adulthood"; 4) "Families that are Safe,
Stable and Nurturing," by providing mental health services to children and families in
Contra Costa County.
BACKGROUND:
YWCA of Contra Costa County (Contractor) has been contracted by Children and
Family Services (CFS) to provide mental health services to non-Medi-Cal eligible clients
referred by CFS as well as authorized services for Medi-Cal eligible clients that are not
covered by Medi-Cal. Contract increased to service additional clients.
