RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution Number 20288,ADDING one(1)full time(40/40) Mental Health Clinical Specialist-Project
(VQS2) position at salary level QT21351 ($4,031-$5,984) [Represented]and ESTABLISHING and ADDING one(1)full time(40/40)
Mental Health Community Support Worker I-Project(VQW7)at salary level QT5 0875($2,442-$2,968)[Represented]
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, there will be an annual cost of$171,788.06 which will be completely offset by an Interdepartmental Agreement CSA-
920-06 with the Probation Department which is funded by the Mentally III Offender Grant. This action will result in no net County cost
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department is requesting the addition of these positions as part of an agreement with the Probation Department.
These positions will be.assigned to Juvenile Hall as part of the mandate set forth in the Mentally III Offender Crime Reduction Grant
that was awarded to the Probation Department.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this request is not approved,the Probation Department will not be able to meet the criteria set forth in the Mentally III Offender Crime
Reduction Grant.
