SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATIONS)&BACKGROUND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand) to execute
on behalf of the County, Contract .Amendment Agreement #24-986-11 with Francis Barham,
M.D., a self-employed individual, effective February 1, 2007, to amend Contract #24-986-10, to
increase the payment limit by $24,255, from $11,550 to a new payment limit of$35,805, with no
change in the original term of July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100%by Mental Health Realignment.
BACKGROUND/REASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S):
In August 2006, the County Administrator approved, and the Purchasing Services Manager
executed Contract #24-986-10 with Francis Barham, M.D., for the period from July 1, 2006
through June 30, 2007, for the provision of Psychiatric Services at County's Mental Health
Clinics and Juvenile Hall.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #24-986-11 will allow the Contractor to provide
services to additional County clients, including those clients who had been served by a
Psychiatrist who is no longer providing services at the East County Clinic, through June 30, 2007.
