RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Resolution No. 2007/6/to adjust the salary ranges of certain classifications to be in compliance with the
State of California minimum wage law effective January 1, 2007.
BACKGROUND:
This Resolution would adjust the salary schedule and set the salary of step 1 at $7.50 per hour, to be in
compliance with the State of California minimum wage law, effective January 1, 2007 for certain classifications
as follows:
EHS Workforce Development Youth Trainee— Project (X761)
EHS Workforce Development Youth Worker— Project (X762)
EHS Worker Trainee (AV71)
Library Student Assistant (3KWA)
Student Worker (gggE)

THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS in its capacity as governing Board of
the County of Contra Costa and all districts of which it is ex-officio governing Board RESOLVES THAT:
1) Effective January 1, 2007, the compensation for the following classifications will be adjusted on the
County Salary Schedule to set the salary of step 1 at $7.50 per hour:
EHS Workforce Development Youth Trainee— Project (X761)
EHS Workforce Development Youth Worker— Project (X762)
EHS Worker Trainee (AV71)
Library Student Assistant (3KWA)
Student Worker (999E)
2) Authorize the Director of Human Resources to adjust the salary schedule of any classification, with
a pay grade below the State Minimum Wage Rate, upward on the salary schedule to $7.50 per hour.
