(Unrepresented) FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of $4,489. This position is 100% funded by permit fees. BACKGROUND: The Department requests the reallocation of the Supervisor Inspection Services classification due to the 5% salary increase given to represented staff in the Building and Grading Inspector series and the Building Plan Checker series during labor negotiations. The increase has resulted in compaction with the Principal Building Inspector and Supervisor Inspection Services classifications. With the reallocation of Supervisor Inspection Services, the salary gap between the respective classifications will return to 10.0%. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The consequence of negative action will result in the continued compaction of salary between Principal Building Inspector and Supervisor Inspection Services.
