SUBJECT: Position Adjustment Resolution # 20079
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION : Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution # 20079 adding two 20/40 Librarian
(represented) positions.
FISCAL IMPACT : There are no net County costs associated with this action, since all costs are
within the Library's Budget, which is not a General Fund Department.
BACKGROUND : These positions are needed in the newly established Juvenile Hall Library
Program, as well as for planning new library programs.
RESULT OF NEGATIVE ACTION : If this action is not approved, there will be no support for the new
Juvenile Hall Library program. This would cause severe organizational problems for the Library, as
well as prevent the Library from providing a valuable service to the public.
