(Budgeted: 69% State Family Preservation; 24%Federal Promoting Safe and Stable Families; 7% State Child Welfare Redesign) (All Districts) FINANCIAL IMPACT: $786,000: 69% State Family Preservation; 24% Federal Promoting Safe and Stable Families; 7% State Child Welfare Redesign CHILDRFN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: This contract supports all five of the community outcomes established in the Children's Report Card: 1) "Children Ready for and Succeeding in School"; 2) "Children and Youth Healthy and Preparing for Productive Adulthood"; 3) "Families that are Economically Self Sufficient"; 4) "Families that are Safe, Stable and Nurturing"; and 5) "Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families," by providing Kinship Support Services. BACKGROITND: FamiliesFirst, Inc. was selected from a competitive procurement, Request for Proposal (RFP) #1076, to provide Family Enhancement Collaborative (FEC) services to the Children and Family Services (CFS)Bureau. Services under the Family Enhancement Collaborative include shared family care, kinship, and family preservation. The Intensive Family Preservation Program is designed to provide intensive, individualized, in-home family preservation intervention with a potential for individualized time limited aftercare to assist families who are at risk of entering the Child Welfare System. The Program ensures that children are safe, and prevents, when possible, out-of-home placements.
