HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06202006 - C.72 TO: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Contra FROM: William Walker,M.D.,Health Services Director Costa By: Jacqueline Pigg, Contracts Administrator DATE: June 9, 2006 County SUBJECT: Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement#25-042-8 (- 7--z with Greater Richmond Interfaith ProgramSPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATIONS)&BACKGROUND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Wendel Brunner, MD) to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #25-042-8 with Greater Richmond Interfaith Program, a non-profit corporation, effective June 15, 2006, to amend Contract #25-042-4 (as amended by Contract Amendment/Extension Agreements #25-042-5 through #25-042-7) to increase the Contract payment limit by $250,172, from $2,674,743 to a new payment limit of$2,924,915 with no change in the term of July 1, 2004 through September 30, 2006. FISCAL IMPACT: This Amendment is funded 16% by County Budgeted funds; 55% by Community Development Department and Employment and Human Services Department; 1% by State Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP) funds and Federal Emergency Shelter Grant (FESG); and 28% by Federal funds, including Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) funds, Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Substance Abuse/Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and Housing and Urban Development; and Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) through the cities of Pittsburg, Antioch, and Walnut Creek. BACKGROUND/REASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S): On July 13, 2004, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #25-042-4 (as amended by subsequent Contract Amendment/Extension Agreements #25-042-5 through #25-042-7) with Greater Richmond Interfaith Program for the period from July 1, 2004 through September 30, 2006, for the provision of emergency shelter services. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #25-042-8 will allow the Contractor to provide additional emergency shelter services to homeless youth in Richmond and El Sobrante and provide services to additional homeless adults in Richmond and Concord, through September 30, 2006.
