I BACKGROUND/REASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S): On January 10, 2006, the Board of Supervisors approved Novation Contract # 74-034-7 with We Care Services for Children, for the period from July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006 (with a six- month automatic extension through December 31, 2006), for the provision of mental health services to recipients of the CalWORKs Program and their children, including individual, group and family collateral counseling, case management, and medication management services, to reduce barriers to employment. I Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74-034-8 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services to recipients of the CalWORKs Program and their children, through June 30, 2006.
