Recommended Action:
1. DETERMINE the property, located at Frontage :Road and Dover Way in Pittsburg, to be no longer
necessary for County purposes.
2. AUTHORIZE the Chair, Board of Supervisors, to execute the Grant Deed to the State of California.
3. DIRECT Real Property to deliver the Grant Deed to rantee.

None. The County is transferring fee-owned county road right of way to the State at no costa
Reason for Recommendation and Background
Contra Costa County acquired certain real property in 1958 through a Relinquishment from the State of California,for
highway purposes. The property is a portion of an unimproved County road,Rifle Range Road, adjacent to Frontage
Road near Dover Court in Pittsburg.Tine 52,938 square feet parcel and 269 square feet access easement,described in
Exhibits"A"and`B"attached hereto,are excess and no longer required for either the ConIlty's current or future use.
As part of the widening of State Route 4, Bailey Road to Rail Road Avenue, constructed by tine Contra Costa
Transportation Authority(OCTA), this property was incorporated into;the new freeway.
Consequences of Negative Action:
The County would own and be liable for a portion of the State Route 4 freeway.

County of Contra Costa, Road IV-C. C-75-F". recorded October 23, 1958 in Liber 3251 at page
159 Official Records, in the Office of the County Recorder of Contra Costa County, California,
said portion of Parcel 2 being more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at the northwestern corner of above referenced Parcel 2; thence along the
general northern line of said Parcel 2, S88045'42"E, 336.921 meters to the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING; thence continuing along last said line the following three (3) courses:
1. S88045'42"E, 392.268 meters;
2. Easterly along a tangent curve to the right having a radius of 380.976 meters, through a
central angle of 09007'56", an arc distance of 60.723 meters;
3. S79037'46"E, 34.873 meters;
thence leaving last said line S17°44'02"W, 8.899 meters; thence Westerly along a non-tangent
curve to the left, from a radial line that bears N09059'02"E, having a radius of 755.441 meters,

An easement for ingress acid egress over, across and upon a portion of Parcel 2 as said Parcel
is described in the "Relinquishment of State Highway in the County of Contra Costa, Road IV-C.
C-75-F" recorded October 23, 1958 in Liber 3251 at page 159 Official Records, in the Office of
the County Recorder of Contra Costa County, California, said easement being more particularly
described as follows:
COMMENCING at the northwestern corner of above referenced Parcel 2; thence along the
general northern line of said Parcel 2,S88°45'42"E, 336.921 meters; thence leaving last said
line S01°14'10"W, 10.130 meters to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence S88045'51"E,
6.096 meters; thence S01°14'10"W, 4.102 meters to the general southern line of said Parcel 2;
thence along last said line N88045'42"W, 6.096 meters; thence leaving last said line
N01°14'10"E, 4.102 meters to the True Point of Beginning.
