HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05092006 - PR.2 PR . s OLDER ADULTS COMMITTEE: Nancy Ebbert, MD, Chief Psychiatrist of Ambulatory Care and the Mental Health Division, for her continued and tireless dedication and the compassion she has shown in trying to provide mental health services to our frail elderly. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty while serving on the Mental Health Services Act Stakeholders Planning Group, and in her attendance at the Older Adult Committee meetings. Her input is always very much appreciated. The Lafayette Branch of the Northern California Alzheimer's Association for their advocacy on behalf of many who can no longer speak for themselves to get services for those afflicted with Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia. JUSTICE SYSTEM COMMITTEE The Contra Costa Public Health Homeless Program for competently and compassionately providing outstanding advocacy and program development designed to assist homeless individuals and families in need of mental health services. Brian S. Baker, Chief Assistant District Attorney and Jack Funk, Assistant Public Defender for their enthusiastic dedication,professional integrity, and exemplary collaboration while working on behalf of individuals with mental health issues involved in or in danger of becoming involved in the criminal justice system. Having them in attendance at the Justice System Committee meetings is a real asset, and brings a unique perspective to the subjects discussed. ADULT &TRANSITIONAL AGE YOUTH COMMITTEE Independent Living Resource for their dedication in providing housing, employment and benefit counseling services to disabled citizens and mental health consumers in Contra Costa County. Liz Callahan, former Director of the Contractors' Alliance, for advocating for sufficient and necessary funding and support for non-profit organizations serving the needs of consumers in Contra Costa County. CHILDREN'S COMMITTEE Kathi McLaughlin, Mental Health Commissioner, and Chairperson of the MHC's Children's Committee, for her commitment and her knowledgeable, innovative, and tireless advocacy on behalf of children in need of mental health services in Contra Costa County. Contra Costa County Mental Health Children's Services Staff for their commitment to providing timely, effective and high quality care to children in need of mental health services in Contra Costa County.
