SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution Number 20057, establishing the classifications
of EHS Program Integrity Assistant (XQSN) and EHS Program Integrity Coordinator
(XQHF) and transitioning four EHS Program Integrity Assistant-Project positions and
one EHS Program Integrity Coordinator- Project position into the merit system.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no cost associated with this request.
BACKGROUND:
The Department is requesting 'these actions to address task-force recommendations
concerning long term critical needs for program integrity and accuracy in casework.
The Department has determined that there is a need to have these positions on a
permanent basis to continue to conduct targeted reviews of Food Stamp cases to
ensure fiscal compliance and avoid costly State and Federal budget sanctions.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The consequence of negative +action will result in Department's inability to effectively
provide Food Stamp services to the community.
