(District V) SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION(S): FIX a Public Hearing for May 16, 2006 to adopt a resolution for the temporary closure of Empire Mine Road for a period of 18 months starting at the Antioch city limit and proceeding easterly for 0.49 miles to Deer Valley Road, Antioch area. (District V) FISCAL IMPACT: There will be a reduction in the costs iof removing refuse and trash from the road. BACKGROUND/REASON(S) EOR RECOMMENDATION(S): Nighttime activities along the roadIgenerate criminal activity,refuse, trash, and human waste. The County Public Works Department Supports the City of Antioch's request and recommends that the Board of Supervisors support the i City of Antioch's request. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Illegal nighttime activities that are occurring along the road would continue.
