(Local Road Funds) (All Districts). DATE: April 25, 2006 PAGE: 2 of 2 FISCAL IMPACT: There is no impact to the General Fund. The $6,000 payment increase is funded by Local Road Funds (100%). REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AND BACKGROUND: The Public Works Department is involved in various projects in the County which require geotechnical investigation for the County,Flood Control District and Redevelopment Agency. The Public Works Department is in the process of soliciting geotechnical consultants Ito provide on-call professional services; however, in the interim the Department wishes to continue retaining the professional services of this particular firm because of its involvement in a current design project and any other projects until other firms are secured. This ori-call agreement will be terminated when the new agreements are in place. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Negative action will result in the delay in completing projects requiring geotechnical information in a timely manner.
