SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
ADD one (1) full-time Secretary-Advanced Level (J3TG) position; CANCEL Executive Secretary-
Exempt position # 36-5900.
BACKGROUND:
This action is being requested by the Director of Animal Services due to the newly appointed
Executive Secretary-Exempt incumbent who was formerly a Secretary-Advanced Level with the
Department of Health Services.
The addition of a Secretary-Advanced Level position allows the incumbent to transfer from her
previous Health Services classified Secretary-Advanced Level position to a classified Secretary-
Advanced Level position in Animal Services. The resulting transfer will then allow the incumbent to
be placed on a leave of absence from her classified Secretary-Advanced Level position and then
appointed to the former Executive Secretary-Exempt position. This personnel transaction allows the
incumbent to maintain her Merit System seniority.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There's no coast associated with this action due to the cancellation of one (1) Executive Secretary-
Exempt position and the addition of one (1) Secretary-Advanced Level position.
CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: '
The Executive Secretary's seniority would be affected.
