FINANCIAL.IMPACT $44,000 Administrative Overhead Costs: 20% County, 40% State, 40%Federal CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT= This contract supports three of the five community outcomes established in the Children's Report Card: 2) "Children and Youth Healthy and Preparing for Productive Adulthood"; 4) "Families that are Safe, Stable and Nurturing"; and 5) "Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families." BACKGROUND: Mr. Gray,Domestic Violence (DV)Liaison,provides domestic violence case-specific consultation, guidance, and support to Employment and Human Services Department(EHSD), Children and Family Services (CFS) and other agencies addressing domestic violence and developing interventions which include safety plans for family members affected by violence. Services include assistance with lethality assessments,resource information, interface between CFS and other agencies, CFS staff at home visits, ongoing CFS staff domestic violence training, development of protocols,procedures, training materials and assessment tools for staff use, and services to the Domestic Violence Workgroup and other committees. Mr. Gray will continue to provide DV services countywide. He will facilitate CFS interfacing with other agencies that address domestic violence and develop and maintain a resource of domestic violence providers, which includes services for women, children, and perpetrators. BACKGROUND: Contra Costa Crisis Center will continue to manage and maintain the comprehensive countywide health and human services database with extensive and current health and human services information. In collaboration with Contra Costa County Employment and Human Services Department, and Health Services Department,the database provides information for emergency shelter, food,job training,medical care, childcare, substance abuse counseling, mental health treatment, conflict resolution, legal services, and more. The database provides the most accurate and current information and is accessible on the Internet for all County employees, local non- profit agencies and County residents. It is the basis for the publication of regional guides for the Network of Care website, 60,000 of which were downloaded and distributed last year, and for the 2-1-1 information system. Contra Costa Crisis Center has extensive experience developing and maintaining a database of health and human services information. The project obtains regular input from county departments and community based organizations and provides a website facilitating access to information. The contracts provide a range of services to older adult population in Contra Costa County providing supportive services that assist them to be self-sufficient and remain independent. Contra Costa Senior Legal Services provide countywide legal services (e.g. phone calls, letters document review,negotiations)representation at administrative proceedings, and representation at court to eligible clients, at least 60 years of age and older. Ombudsman Services of Contra Costa provides mediation and conciliation, investigation of physical abuse, and family support to dependent and elder residents of long-term care facilities. Ms. Barnes provides technical assistance and consultation to the Advisory Council on Aging and Senior Outreach Services provides home visiting services to reduce at risk of inappropriate institutionalization. Rehabilitation Services and Guardian Adult Day Care provide for a structural program providing a social setting for those with cognitive loss and dementia. Jewish Family and Children's Services of the East Bay provides a continuum of easy to access culturally-competent services to older adults and caregivers. Family Caregiver Alliance is a support program to provide supportive services to older adults and their caregivers and families. Services include respite, educational training,medical assistance and education, legal counseling, home modification, and assistive living devices and referral services. FamiliesFirst, Inc.,provides support to grandparents and relative caregivers including outreach and education to those granted temporary or permanent custody of a minor children.
