SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution,) Number 19861, reclassifying Network Technician II (LNVA)
position #55 to Network Administrator I (LNSA) in the Department of Information Technology.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This action will result in an annual cost of $5814.00. Funding for this position is within the
Department's budget and the cost is recovered through user fees.
BACKGROUND:
The incumbent has performed the higher-level duties since June 2004. The incumbent is responsible
for providing network and desktop support to local area and wide area networks. Example of duties
include administering remote logins, system security, data transfer systems and data processing
activities within the department and across other County departments.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The consequence of negative action will result in the inability of the Department to staff this complex
area and correctly compensate the incumbent.
