President's Circle Award ) RESOLUTION NO. 2 005110
WHEREAS, Joseph Ovick has devoted his entire professional career to education; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Ovick has an outstanding record as both a teacher and an administrator,
and
WHEREAS
,, Joseph Ovick has always placed the welfare and well-being of students above all
else; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Ovick has provided sound leadership and wise counsel to legislators and
government leaders as they planned for the future; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Ovick has been a strong and enlightened advocate for special education;
and
WHEREAS, Joseph Ovick, because of his integrity, wisdom, leadership and love of education,
has earned extraordinary respect and admiration at local, state and reactional levels.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Joseph Ovick be congratulated on being
honored as the first recipient of the Diablo Valley College Foundation President's Circle Award
for Outstanding Service to Education and the Community.
PASSED AND ADOPTED ON MARCH 1, 2005, by a unanimous vote of the Board
members present. ,.
