II. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Services under this contract directly support the fourth Community Outcome: "Families that are Safe Stable and Nurturing." BACCKGROUND: The Employment and Human Services Department issued Request for Interest#249 in January 2005 to engage up to three contractors to serve as Parent Partners on a full-time basis funded through US Department of Health and Human Services System of Care Grant funding. Parent Partners will assist families with active Child Welfare Services (CWS) cases by navigating the CWS system,providing mentoring, and providing referral services. Sayida Sandoval and Cheryl Barrett were selected through competitive procurement to fill the Parent Partner positions. Approval and authorization of these contracts will ensure a vitally important service is provided families involved in the Child Welfare System. (MMTG)was selected through the competitive bid process (Request for Interest#219), to provide a cost-effective web-based software application program for the Adult Protective Services (APS) Division of the Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD). The original contract covered the software license procurement, initial set-up and staff training. Additional funds extended the contract term through June 30, 2005, to include maintenance and support services for a full year. This board order will allow increased technical assistance and support for Automated Client Tracking System (AACTS) application for APS.
