On this date the Board of Supervisors adjourned this meeting in memory of
Dale Arden Sandy. Dale was employed by the Contra Costa County as a
Sheriff for 30 years till he retired. Dale passed away on March 19, 2004.

Gale Arden Sandy Dale Arden Sandy, born in Calumet, Oklahoma May
longtime Danville community member and resident, passed away on
day the morning of March 19, 2004. Second son to Lennan W. and Ruby
middle brother to Lennan E. and Kenneth W. Sandy (also longtime r+
Contra Costa County area) is remembered by his adoring wife of 44 yE
€L are his three children, Kristine, Kathleen and Norman, his sons-in-law, Willie

Dale was an avid sports fan all his life, and a staunch Oakland Raiders
all. Dale's athleticism led him to play college football at Diablo Valley Cc
he served three years as an Air Traffic Control Man, Third Class, in
states Navy, based at China Lake, California. Dale met Karol, his wife
