BAS OUND/REASON(S„1,FOR.RECONIMENDATION(S): On April 1, 2003, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-326-1 with Aspira Technologies, Inc. for the period. from April 1, 2003 through March 31, 2004, for the provision of consultation and technical assistance to the Department with regard to designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing custom software applications. Approval of Contract #23-326-2 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through March 31, 2005. Responsibility for outpatient mental health specialty services involves contracts with individual, group and organizational providers to deliver these services. Approval of Contract#74-184-94 will allow the Contractor to provide Medi-Cal mental health specialty services, through June 30, 2005. FISCAL IMPACT: This agreement is 100% funded by Mental Health Realignment Trust Fund. No cost to the County. DAICKCxROUNDIREANSOMS) FOR RECQMWNOATI N In previous years, the agreement to purchase State hospital beds was a part of the Mandated County Performance Contract, as required. by Section 5650 of the Welfare and Institution Code. Recently the Mental Health Division was notified by the State, that beginning with Fiscal Years 200212003, the purchase of state hospital beds will be separated from. the Performance Contract, making it a stand-alone agreement. On June 24, 2003, the Beard of Supervisors approved the Fiscal Year 2002/2003 Performance Contract for State Hospital lied purchase. Approval of Standard Agreement#74-208-1 will allow the County to continue to compensate the State and the State agrees to provide bed usage, including staffing, facilities, equipment, and supplies through June 30, 2004. Seven seal/certified copies of the Board Order should be returned to the Contracts and Grants Unit for submission to the State Department of Mental Health. The Contractor has requested to be held harmless and indemnified as part of their standard for approval of the Agreement with County.
