RESOLUTION NO.2004/30 WHEREAS Chief Warrant Officer 4,Robert E. Gross, the Bandmaster/Commander of the 91'Division Band,Pipes and Drums of Camp Parks has given many years of outstanding service to their communities, spent in concerts, parades and honors to the veterans and citizens of Danville. WHEREAS the Band celebrates its 60'h anniversary this year, and is the only Army Reserve Band mobilized on 23 January 2003, for"Operation Enduring Freedom". WHEREAS the Band performed to over 478,000 audience members in over one hundred performances and received television, radio and newspaper coverage repeatedly. WHEREAS Robert E. Gross is not only a superb musician, he is also a fully trained and highly skilled United States Army Reserve Soldier. WHEREAS the Band supplemented the Federal Police at Camp Parks in Security Duty and accomplished all stated missions with a high degree of professionalism. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors hereby recognizes,commends, and congratulates ChiefRobert E. Gross on the occasion of his retirement after 32 years of Military service, and expresses its appreciation for his outstanding service to our communities in Contra Costa County.
