HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03232004 - C.23 I ms's t In the .Matter of Proclaiming March 25, 2004 as Peacemakers Day � In Contra Costa County ) RESOLUTION NO. 2004/109 UWEREAS; our families, communities, nation and world have increasingly suffered from violence in recent times; and, I17IEREAS, the work of individuals and agencies who promote peace and non-violence is of paramount importance in improving life for all people; and, 4W REAS, the Center for Human Development has devoted itself to promoting the health, and harmony of individuals, families and communities in Contra Costa County since 1972; and, 9 EREAS, the Center for Duman .Development's Conflict Resolution Panels are recognizing those who have made a significant contribution to promoting peace in our County at their I0,`Annual Peacemakers Awards .Dinner on March 25, 2004; and, UWE REAS, the seven recipients of this year's Peacemaker Awards are outstanding representatives of a much larger community of committed individuals and groups who strive to promote peaceful communities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT, ' ,',SOLVED, that Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County does hereby proclaim.March 25, 2004 as Peacemakers Day in Contra Costa County.
