with the City of Richmond and the City of San Pablo in the amounts specified to provide forensic
services for the period beginning July 1, 2003 and continuing until terminated by either the

NONE. The revenue from this agreement is included in the Office of the Sheriffs budget.
III. BACKGROUND:
The Forensic Services Division of the Office of the Sheriff provides forensic services to law
enforcement agencies on a fee-for-service basis. The Office of the Sheriff and the above
named cities have agreed to an estimated fee for services provided to each city during the term
of the agreement. The estimated amount of the agreement is based upon the previous years'
services provided by the Forensic Services Division to each city named above. The amount
will be adjusted based on average level of work each subsequent fiscal year that the agreements
continue in force. Execution of these agreements allow both the Office of the Sheriff and the
agencies to better budget and simplifies the time-intensive process of preparing monthly invoices.
