RECOMMENDATION
EXERCISE the second option for a One-year extension of the Lease dated July 27, 1999 with Garrett
Gill for the premises at 134 Oak Street, Brentwood, for continued occupancy by the East Diablo Fire
Protection District, under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in the Lease.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The exercise of the second option was anticipated and sufficient funds budgeted in the East Diablo
Fire Protection District FY 200312004 approved budget. The second option is for a term of one year,
effective August 1, 2003 through July 31, 2004. The rental rate for the option period is $2,053 per
month, an increase of$80 per month over the previous rate.
BACKGROUND
The County has leased the premises since July 1994. This is the final lease extension.
