FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded by the California Department of Health Services (California Nutrition Network) , No County funds are required. REASONS, FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: On February 5, 2002, the Board Of Supervisors approved Contract #22- 804-1, for the period from January 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003, to establish and maintain a garden for the East West Garden Project . Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #22-804-2 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services, through September 30, 2003 . Pascalli, Jr. ) to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement ##22-848-1 with Marine Research Specialists, Inc. , effective April 1, 2003, to increase the total Contract Payment Limit by $58,200 from $89, 700 to a new total payment limit of $147, 900, and to extend the term of the agreement through March 31, 2004 . FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is 1001 funded by General Chemical - Richmond Works. No County funds are required. HACKGRO`CTND IRE_ASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(a) : On August 6, 2002, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #22- 848 with Marine Research Specialists, Inc. (MRS) , to conduct a third- party evaluation of the facilities management safety systems at the General Chemical Richmond Works Facility. A Safety Evaluation was completed and the final report for this evaluation was issued on January 7, 2003 . Oral reports by MRS were given to the Board of Supervisors and the Richmond City Council on January 14, 2003 . Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #22-848-1 will allow the Contractor to provide a follow-up evaluation to determine the actions General Chemical has taken to address the findings and recommendinatlons from the Safety Evaluation Report, and will extend the term of the Contract through March 31, 2004 . BACKGRQU—ND/REASON(S)FOR RECOMMENDATION(S): On December 17, 2002 the Board of Supervisors approved Novation Contract #24-938-5 with Seneca Residential and Day Treatment Center, Inc., for the period from July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003, (with a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2003)for the provision of school-based mental health services in the West Contra Costa Unified School District. FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for this contract is included in the Health Services Department Enterprise I budget . As appropriate, patients and/or third-party payors will be billed for services. BACKGROUND IREASON(S) FOR REC0k0!ZND=10X(S) : On October 2', 2001, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26- 305-5 (as amended by subsequent Amendments #26-305-6, #26-305-7 and #26-305-8) with Vista Staffing Solutions, for the period from October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2003, to present locum tenens physicians to work as temporary employees to ensure appropriate medical staff coverage to the inpatient psychiatric unit at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, and the County' s Main Detention Facility. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-305-9, will allow Contractor to provide an additional recruitment services, through September 30, 2003 .
