FISCAL IMPACT None . BACKGROUNI)IREASbN(S) FOR RECOMME1MATION(S) : On June 20, 2000, the Board of Supervisors approved Unpaid Student Training Agreement ##26-209-3 with the University of the Pacific for its Department of Physical Therapy to provide the University' s students with field education in physical therapy at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC) . Supervised clinical, and field work experience is considered to be an integral part of both educational and professional preparation. As a teaching- hospital, CCRMC can provide the requisite field education, while at the same time, taking advantage of the students' services to patients. Approval of Unpaid Student Training Agreement #26-209-4 will allow students enrolled at the University of the Pacific to continue receiving clinical and field experience in physical therapy through June 30, 2006 .
