This summary vacation of an excess right of way of a street or highway no longer required
for street or highway purposes, is made pursuant to Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 4 of the Streets
and Highways Code, commencing with Section 8330, et. seq. A description of the area to be
vacated is described as Exhibit "A" and shown as Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference.
This vacation request is for an excess right of way for a street or highway not required for
street or highway purposes. (S. & H. Code Section 8334).

SUBJECT: Vacation of a portion of Ardmore Rd.

This Board hereby FINDS that the proposed vacation will not have a significant effect on the
environment, and that it has been, determined to be exempt from the California Environmental
Quality Act Under State CEQA Guidelines Section 15061 (b)(3) and DIRECTS the Director of
Community Development to file a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk, and DIRECTS the
Public Works Director to arrange for payment of the $25.00 handling fee to the County Clerk for
filing and a $25.00 fee to Community Development for processing of the Notice of Exemption.
This Board 'having considered the general plan FINDS pursuant to Government Code Section
65402 that in accordance with its Resolution No. 81/522, this vacation is minor in nature and is
therefore exempt from general plan conformance review
This Board declares that the hereinabove described proposed vacation area is HEREBY
ORDERED VACATED subject to any reservation and exception described in attached Exhibit"A".
From and after the date this Resolution is recorded, the portion vacated no longer constitutes a
public highway.
The Real Property Division is ORDERED to record a certified copy of this Resolution in the
office of the County Recorder.

The land described herein is situated in the County of Contra Costa, unincorporated area,

A portion of Arlington Avenue, adjacent to Lot 30, Block 5, Map of Kensington Park,

described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the northerly line of a 20 feat wide Path with the
westerly line of Arlington Avenue,as said Path and.Avenue are shown on said Map, said
intersection also being the southeasterly corner of said Lot 30 in said Black 5; thence
northerly along said westerly line of Arlington Avenue along the arc of a non-tangent

It can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity may have a significant
adverse effect on the environment.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY:
The activity consists of the vacation of a portion of an accepted offer of dedication(approximately
2,009 square feet)along the southeast portion of No.2 Ardmore Road(APN 571-090-018) in the
Kensington area (Figs. 3 & 4). Contra Costa County (County) accepted the original offer of
dedication of Ardmore Road in 1934. The current property owners of 2 Ardmore Road discovered
by survey that a portion of the roadway was within their fenced property. The owners are
requesting that the County vacate this portion of excess road right of way. The County has
determined that this excess portion is not needed and can be summarily vacated. (Fig. 4)

SUBJECT: Pursuant to Section 22507 of the California Vehicle Code declaring parking
to be prohibited at all times on the south side of Center Avenue (Road No.
4074A), Pacheco area.
The Contra Costa Board of Supervisors RESOLVES that:
On the basis of a traffic and engineering survey and recommendations thereon by the
County Public Works Departmenfs Traffic Engineering Division, and pursuant to County
Ordinance Code Sections 46-2.002-46-2.012,the following traffic regulation is established
(and other action taken as indicated):
Pursuant to Section 22507 of the California Vehicle Code parking is hereby
declared to be prohibited at all times on the south side of Center Avenue
(Road No.4074A), Pacheco area, beginning at a point 308 feet east of the
center line of the intersection of Pacheco Boulevard and extending easterly a
distance of 100 feet.
