Public Works Department ) RESOLUTION NO. 2003/239
WHEREAS Rich Bruno began his career with Contra Costa County on October 1, 1965
as a Junior Engineering Aide in the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS Rich parlayed his increasing knowledge of technical engineering skills to
become the Contract Administrator for the Construction Division; and
WHEREAS Rich combined his fiercely competitive spirit with his legendary penchant for
accuracy and attention to detail to elevate his services to an exemplary example of
efficiency— an efficiency that most likely will not be equaled by a sole successor.
WHEREAS Rich has agreed to remain a resource for as long as his services are
needed; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVER that the Contra Costa County Board of
Supervisors does hereby honor Joseph R. Bruno for his 37 years of service on the
occasion of his retirement and gives its full appreciation for his dedicated service to the
Public Works Department and the people of this County. -
PASSED by a unanimous vote of the Board of Supervisors members present
this 15th day of April, 2003.
