SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATIONS ADOPT Resolution 2003/178 to create a Municipal Advisory Council for the Pleasant Hilt BART Station vicinity; and DISSOLVE effective this date the Pleasant Hill BART Station Area Steering Committee, and in doing so acknowledge the valuable services rendered by its members on behalf of the County. FISCAL IMPACT None at this time. BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS The Pleasant Hill'BART Station Municipal Advisory Council (MAG) would be established as an advisory body to the County on discretionary land use matters, local government services, and such other matters as the Board of Supervisors may direct. The Pleasant Hill BART Steering Committee, which focused solely on the area within the boundaries of the Pleasant Hill BART Specific Plan, is no longer needed as the area is virtually built out and the preliminary development plan for the BART property has been fully approved. The proposed MAC would be a smaller, more focused group than the Steering Committee with membership specific to the Pleasant Hill BART Station vicinity.
