IN RECOGNITION OF THE DEDICATION AND RESOLUTION NO. 2003/114
SERVICE OF ALBERT PACCIORINI AND HIS
BEING NAMED THE SAN PABLO CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE MAN OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini is a former editor of the West County Times;and
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini attended many San Pablo Chamber of Commerce events while
editor of the Times;and
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini has worked in the newspaper industry for three decades, mostly in
the East Bay;and
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini has worked as an editor at the Oakland Tribune,Hayward Daily
Review, and Fremont Argus;and
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini has been editor of the Herald newspaper in Pleasanton since 2000;
and
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini helped promote and develop Casino San Pablo; and
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini served as a San Pablo Chamber volunteer and board member; and
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini worked diligently to help pass two successful City of San Pablo
ballot measures,Measure C supporting building Casino San Pablo, and Measure J,saving the
city's Street Lighting and Landscaping Assessment District;and
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini served of the City of San Pablo's Housing Appeals Board; and
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini was co-founder of the West County 2000,a regional economic
development group; and
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini served on the boards of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce,
and the West County YMCA;and
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini and a partner formed the P-W public relations and advertising
agency in 1993,who's clients included the cities of Richmond and San Pablo,Chevron, and
Casino San Pablo;and
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini owned the Portuguese Journal weekly newspaper and publishing
company, with offices in San Pablo;and
WHEREAS,Albert Pacciorini has lived in Hercules since 1988
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa
County hereby recognizes the contributions of Albert Pacciorini to the city of San Pablo.
PASSED by unanimous vote of the Board of Supervisors members present on this 18'h day of March 2003.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WOMAN OF
THE YEAR
WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin was born in Pt.Richmond, and grew up in Sari Pablo where she still
lives;and
WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin was the eighth of 12 children to immigrant parents;and
WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin worked for I8 years with her husband,William Erwin,at Erwin's
Automotive in San Pablo pumping gas,checking oil, and cleaning windshields among other
duties;and
WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin was a member of the service club the Dorians for ten years;and
WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin volunteered for teen programs at the Canal Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin is an active member of the City of San Pablo Beautification Board,
and has been for 20 years;and
WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin served on the San Pablo Community Foundation Board; and
WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin is a member of the San Pablo Senior Center;and
WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin is a charter member and board secretary of the West County Music
Society;and
WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin has volunteered for the San Pablo Chamber of Commerce for the
past three years;and
WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin is the proud mother of four children,grandmother of seven children,
and great-grandmother of four;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa
County hereby recognizes the contributionsof Maxine Erwin to the city of San Pablo.

AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SERVICE AND ITS
BEING NAMED THE SAN PABLO
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BUSINESS OF
THE'YEAR
WHEREAS,Bob Buchen's love of cars and racing led him to open Complete Automotive Repair
Service;and
WHEREAS,Complete Automotive Repair Service was opened in 1975 as a Texaco Station on
San Pablo Dam Road; moving to a Chevron Station in the Hilltop Area in 1986;and
WHEREAS,in 1984 Bob Buchen focused solely on automotive repairs in a shop on San Pablo
Avenue in Sap Pablo;and
WHEREAS,Complete Automotive Repair has a reputation for excellent service regardless of
what type of repair; and
WHEREAS,Complete Automotive Repair is known for its'honesty and integrity; and
WHEREAS,Complete Automotive Repair provides courteous service at competitive prices; and
WHEREAS,Bob Buchen has made numerous improvements to his shop's appearance including
landscaping and signage,and
WHEREAS,Bob Buchen keeps his shop clean;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa
County hereby recognizes the contributions of the Complete Automotive Repair Service to the
city of San Pablo.
